Penn’s Village to launch In Society Hill, Queen Village and Old City
Source: Penn's Village
Date: 12/6/2007
Penn’s Village will build a network of support through volunteer services and specially negotiated fees from preferred vendors. They will provide members with assistance in transportation, home maintenance, errands, meal preparation and many other necessities. In addition, Penn’s Village will offer social events, seminars, volunteer opportunities, telephone “check-ins” and peace of mind to all members and their families.
Charter memberships are available now at an introductory rate of $2000 per household or $1300 per individual for two years. A tax deductible donation is included in those rates. This will cover liaison and advocate services as well as services provided by volunteers. Services provided by preferred vendors will be available at specially negotiated rates.
If you would like more information on Penn’s Village, would like to volunteer or be added to their email or mail list, please contact Tania Rorke at 215.370.6485 or email info@pennsvillage.org.
Members of the Penn’s Village Board and Steering Committee have given their time and expertise and have contributed funds to a program they believe is important. However, they cannot make Penn’s Village a reality without your support. We hope you will consider joining us in this endeavor and contributing to Penn’s Village start-up funding. Penn’s Village is in the process of procuring 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. In the meantime, tax deductible donations may be made to Penn’s Village. Please make checks payable to The Society Hill Fund, and send them to Penn’s Village, P.O. Box 63871, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
